Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs)

Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD’s) are mini implants or mini screws that are used to move teeth without using other teeth. While planning treatment, the use of TAD’s can shorten treatment time, prevent dental implants, and prevent the need for Jaw Surgery.

Dr. David Alpan attended the first training course to be certified to place Temporary Anchorage Devices. Since then Dr. Alpan has placed thousands of TAD’s with great success, minimal discomfort and a healing time of no more than 24 hours. Since we immediately load the TAD with a spring or elastic, it is working as soon as we place the TAD.
