  • In 2018, he continued the legacy of Dr. Feldman’s West Hills office, which had been serving the community for over 30 years.
  • At Hawthorne Orthodontics, Dr. Alpan builds upon the 35-year foundation established by Dr. Rosenberg.
  • At our LM and IW locations, Dr. Alpan continues the 35-year legacy of Dr. Newhart, who also served patients in Santa Monica.

Dr. David Alpan

Dr. David Alpan is one of the top-rated orthodontists in Los Angeles. Dr. Alpan earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of the Pacific (UOP) School of Dentistry in San Francisco and became licensed to practice dentistry in California and Nevada in 1996. After completing his orthodontic training program at UOP in 1998, he received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate.

Dr. Alpan is a proud member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association, reflecting his commitment to excellence and ongoing education in orthodontics and dentistry.
 
Dr. David Alpan is a third-generation dental professional with a passion for creating smiles that function in harmony with the face and jaw. Since founding Alpan Orthodontics in 1999, he has been at the forefront of orthodontic innovation, specializing in advanced treatments like Invisalign, LightForce, and TMJ therapy.
 
His philosophy is simple: treat every patient like family. As a top-tier Invisalign provider, he has taught over 10,000 dentists and orthodontists worldwide, sharing his expertise to elevate patient care across the industry.
 
When he’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Alpan enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, and their two children, Zephyr and Ambryn. He’s also an avid mountain biker, car racer, and traveler.

Dr. Robert earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1972 from Loyola University Chicago Dental School. He attended a postgraduate orthodontic residency program at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1974.
